FAQ

Telehealth

Telehealth provides both risks and benefits when it comes to engaging in counseling services. For best practice, children will benefit from using a laptop, tablet or desktop computer to meet with their provider which will allow them to fully access and utilize the interventions used in session. Additionally, telehealth services require the child and/or caregiver to meet in a place where they are free from distractions/interruptions and can talk openly and confidentially with the provider.

Open Path Psychotherapy collective

Connected Heart Clinical Group does not offer a sliding scale. However, our practice is affiliated with Open Path Psychotherapy Collective and interested clients can explore this an option to receive services with Connected Heart Clinical Group at a reduced rate.

Insurance vs. private Pay

When it comes to deciding to use insurance vs. private pay, the client should be aware that private pay allows your provider the best ability to protect your confidentiality as there will be no third party (e.g insurance provider) to release information to such as diagnosis or rationale for treatment. Private pay also allows the client and provider to dictate the length and modality of treatment without relying on insurance to approve services.
