Tirzah is the sole clinician of the practice. Tirzah has an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a graduate degree in Mental Health Counseling/School Counseling.
Tirzah is licensed with the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners, maintaining a license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) as well as a certification through the Arizona Department of Education as a Certified School Counselor K-12.
Tirzah began her clinical work in New Mexico; as such, she is also licensed with the New Mexico Board of Counseling and Therapy practice as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).
Tirzah has provided over 10 years of counseling services to children and families who are seeking support for concerns related to attachment, emotional dysregulation, trauma and academic performance. She maintains active certification in both states to provide clinical supervision to counselors working towards independent licensure.
Tirzah settled in Arizona in 2018 with her blended family of two highly energetic teenagers, a husband, a relentlessly-shedding dog and a partridge in a pear tree. Originally from New Mexico, Tirzah loves green chile and the mountains. In her free time, she loves to travel, experience new cultures, read, organize closets and tell VERY funny jokes (just ask the teenagers!)

Tirzah is experienced in working with children and adolescents (5-18), young adults, and adults. Currently, Tirzah only offers Tele-health sessions.
Tirzah provides a relationship based, person-centered approach to the therapeutic relationship, providing recognition and validation to the individual’s unique needs or concerns. Tirzah believes, with support and increased understanding of what triggers a particular pattern of behavior, the client possesses the capacity to make changes. Tirzah will draw from a combined use of therapeutic techniques including CBT, TF-CBT, attachment theory, mindfulness and meditation and family systems theories to develop a treatment plan that will assist the client in developing healthy relationships with others.
After a decade of clinical work with children and adolescents, it has proved to be extremely beneficial to incorporate key family members into a child or adolescent's treatment. As a result, periodic family therapy sessions are a strongly recommended component of engaging in services with Connected Heart Clinical Group.
